About foxholes and bumblebees

Dolomites of Cadore, Italy
October 29, 2018

A strong storm hit the woods in the Cadore mountains. The gusts of winds blew over 150 km/h, causing the fall of about 5 million fir trees.
It’s the greatest environmental tragedy that has ever occurred in Italy and among the largest in the world.

Five days have passed before we were able to discover the damage caused by the storm.

Six months later, the landscape is still seriously compromised, despite the work of man to remove the troches of fallen trees.

Meanwhile, among the clusters of branches and wood, there are only foxholes and bumblebees.
